Aprons are Fun part 2
Like I said, I have a bunch of nieces. This apron was for my Cheeky Monkey. Different than my previous one. The colors and patterns reminded me of her. Again, just followed the pattern.
Wreath Challenged
I am a crafter. I love flowers. I love wreaths. All three things should add up to a beautiful thing called a wreath, but a las I CAN'T DO WREATHS!! I have tried and tried to make them. I refuse to pay for them, when I KNOW I can make them cheaper. My self esteem gets shattered every time I attempt my fate at making wreaths. Years of feeling like a crafting failure have plagued me. "How can I make my door pretty?" I would always ask myself.
My solution came while taking a walk last fall. A house in our neighborhood had a hanging basket full of flowers on her door. It was beautiful. I even whipped out my cell phone to take a picture I was so inspired. This I can do! My self esteem and hopes of a beautiful fall door were back. I rushed to Michaels and Hobby Lobby to search for baskets and flowers on sale. From that point on I have only had my metal basket(if you can call it that) and seasonal flowers on my door. This spring and summer I did wild flowers. Oh, I loved my door, and actually was a little sad to take them down. But my favorite of all seasons, FALL, is back and so I have pulled out my fall flowers from the attic and placed them in their rightful place. My front door. Ahhhh, I love fall decorating. If you are like me and are wreath challenged, try this idea out. Happy Harvesting!!

Vinyl monogramed frame
I bought this frame from a friend's yard sale. It originally had an abstract type picture in it, but I bought it for the frame. I have had this since the summer and wanted to personalized it for our living room. I bought a HUGE "M" from Joanns years ago and was going to put it in the middle of it, but once I discovered using vinyl on glass I knew that was what I was going to do. I glued the glass down with an epoxy glue. Hope you enjoy it and make one for you home smaller or bigger.

Random Thoughts
I know this has nothing to do with anything about crafting, but maybe I can squeeze it into the reviving category. I went to the gym to take my cardio dance class-hence the revival part-and I thought, "the music isn't quite moving me today." Strange. I love to sing while I dance, joke around with my friend Jill. Nope just didn't feel it. I didn't even want to try to make my big gluteous maximus look good while dancing to a Sean Kingston song. I did get into a song towards the end of class and again thought, "Man I wish I could rap." I can't rap and because I can't rap I can't sing along to the song. Or rap along. It has just been one of those days where I think, where has the joy gone today? Maybe I should just stick with crafting. I guess you can't have it all. I hope today you are not in need of a revival and have accomplished all you set out to do.

Name Tag Zipper Pull
I thought my oldest was too old to get his back pack embroidered with his name on it so I came up with this zipper pull. I used our old pool passes from last summer, mod podge, scrap paper, and an image of a saxophone player from online.
I put Mod Podge on the entire thing before putting down paper.
A second layer of paper and his name went down. Mod Podged over both layers.
He will be playing sax this year so I cut this clip art out and layered it with black.
Drilled a new hole and used a key ring to put it on his bag. Hopefully it's cooler than embroidery. ; )
